Crystal is a trailblazer. Raised in Harlem and The Bronx NY, Crystal has excelled in a predominantly male-dominated construction industry, becoming the CEO / President of MWBE Certified Safety firm CDT EHS Consulting LLC. She provides safety and construction training through “The Safety Diva’s ™ Academy”, and coaches CEOs, and Safety Leaders through CDT Performance Mastery Coaching. She is a highly accomplished servant leader, Entrepreneur, Safety SME, DE&I advocate, Performance Coach, and Ph.D. candidate in Occupational Risk Management. Crystal champions, Spiritual alignment, Organizational Integrity, STEM education, workplace safety, and holistic Total Worker Health ®.
Her journey in these fields has been marked by numerous accomplishments and contributions, showcasing her expertise and commitment to excellence. Crystal the first Black woman to be awarded the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP), Women in Safety Excellence (WISE), Safety Professional of the Year or SPY Award.

Crystal’s educational pursuits are impressive, with a Master of Science degree in Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences (EOHS) from Hunter College CUNY, a Masters in Research (MRes) in Construction Management Sciences conferred in September 2024 enroute to a Ph.D. in Occupational Risk Management at Capitol Technology University to be completed in 2025. Her capstone project and upcoming dissertation both delve into the challenges of diversity and inclusion in the workplace especially for African American Women. With over 25 years of experience, Crystal holds various certifications, managing safety on diverse projects such as construction, infrastructure, and environmental endeavors for government, insurance, and private-sector clients.

Her advocacy for DEI and safety culture improvement is reflected in her active involvement at a grassroots level in various organizations, including The American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) and Founding Board of The U.S. Coalition of Black Women Businesses (USCBWB). Crystal's thought leadership is evident through her speaking engagements, publications, and awards. Her dedication to a holistic lifestyle is reflected in her commitment to family, community engagement, and personal well-being. Crystal is a Senior Event Leader and Coach and has done extensive personal and professional development utilizing Landmark Worldwide Education.

Anticipation is building for her upcoming podcast Safety Diva's™ Connect set to launch March 5th, 2026, and her best practices book, "The Safety Diva’s™ Ultimate Guide to Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety," launching in April of 2026. Crystal's journey stands as a testament to her dedication, leadership, and unwavering passion for creating a more inclusive and safe work environment.
